SAN DIEGO – November 2, 2016 – Black Mountain, a software company that develops innovative data and process management solutions for asset managers and financial institutions, announced today the launch of its new Portfolio Accounting & Agent solution.
“We are excited to introduce a revolutionary technology for investment accounting that has been built from the ground up,” said Kevin MacDonald, Co-CEO of Black Mountain. “Our Portfolio Accounting & Agent solution has been designed to handle all asset classes, however we are focusing the initial release on the direct lending space, which is a growing segment of the market needing a more robust solution.”
Black Mountain’s Portfolio Accounting & Agent solution is based on fundamental accounting principles, which allows it to provide the typical accrual, P&L, and discount accrual functions, but in such a way that allows for a seamless integration to any General Ledger system. In addition, the solution utilizes an open and scalable architecture allowing it to integrate with any system for any manager, from startups to large global enterprises.
With the solution’s simple, intuitive navigation system most actions are one click away. The Portfolio Accounting & Agent solution offers complete and concise summaries of key business objects such as portfolios, instruments and positions. Additionally, notices to borrowers and/or lenders can be generated on demand for a variety of interest and principal-related activity.
“We listened to the market and responded,” said Andy Horwitz, Co-CEO of Black Mountain. “Now investors can stop dealing with conflicting systems and broken interfaces. With our Portfolio Accounting & Agent Solution all information will be accurate and immediate throughout the organization.”
Black Mountain will be exhibiting at the LSTA conference in New York City on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Stop by to learn more about the Portfolio Accounting & Agent solution and schedule a demo to be entered to win two tickets to an upcoming Rangers or Knicks game.
