According to Allvue, fund managers are increasingly adopting AI and machine learning, recognizing their potential as a key competitive advantage in the coming years. However, adoption remains limited as they struggle with various implementation challenges.
Allvue’s Chief Architect, Brandon Meeks, sat down with Tom Auchterlonie from Private Funds CFO to share valuable insights into the industry’s sentiment on AI, as highlighted in Allvue’s 2025 GP Outlook survey, and provide a glimpse into the transformative role AI could play in private capital markets moving forward.
“ChatGPT really opened the floodgates and brought it into everyone’s vocabulary,” Meeks said. He noted that Allvue’s sponsor clients are trying to decide on routine uses for generative AI. “They’re all playing with it on some level, personal and professional, and they’re trying to figure out ‘how do I take advantage of this tech in my daily life?’” he said.
