Have you ever joined events organized by people whose fantastic energy driven by passion, ambition, and a sense of community was felt in the first few minutes? I was thrilled to be a part of such a welcoming atmosphere and gain fruitful insights during our Personal & Professional Harmony Talk prepared by the Allvue’s Women’s Network, an employee resource group (ERG) dedicated to supporting and empowering women at our company.
Nowadays women constantly have to balance personal and professional life, “wearing multiple hats” to meet the diverse demands and expectations placed upon them both at home and in the workplace. Here at Allvue, we understand the importance of managing work-life harmony. In today’s post-COVID rapidly developing and demanding world, finding the balance between personal life and career success becomes challenging. Recognizing the importance of achieving harmony, which looks different for everyone, our Women’s Network organized a talk aimed to provide support and empower our colleagues.
During the session, the ERG shared ideas and rules for achieving a balanced and fulfilling career. We watched “3 Rules for Better Work-Life Balance” by behavioral scientist and Harvard Business School professor Ashley Whilans, to gather practical tips and strategies that can help in navigating demands of your career while maintaining a fulfilling personal life. While watching, we gathered practical steps for setting boundaries that stick.
Reflecting on these discussions – balance holds a unique meaning for everyone. Various schools of thought offer different perspectives on finding harmony. Here are some perspectives on the subject that I’ve gathered:
Moving to discussions, our Women’s Network exemplifies how collective wisdom and shared experiences can foster a nurturing environment. We chatted about how achieving a sense of fulfillment can go beyond just professional success:
As we move forward and think about implementing these strategies, it’s important to acknowledge the collective wisdom and shared experiences of our Women’s Network. By fostering a nurturing environment, we create a space where individuals can thrive both personally and professionally.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our Women’s Network and Amy Offret, Customer Success Manager at Allvue, for organizing such an inspiring and empowering talk. This event not only provided valuable insights but also strengthened our sense of community and reinforced our shared commitment to achieving harmony in both our professional and personal lives. We look forward to continuing this tradition of gathering for inspiring events that foster growth, unity, and a sense of purpose within our organization.
